October 2014
it was officially my dad's 50th birthday this month, so we all through him a big party at the house which he loved as hes not into going out and making a big thing of it, it was really nice all his friends came down, his old employees, came down, we did a good spread for everyone and had the music on way to loud, he was very rough the next day haha.
well i have officially turned on my heating this month, i haven't wanted to, tried leaving it as long as possible, but it's getting to cold on the evenings for Owen, winter is definitely settling in.
a year ago Owen lost his bottom teeth ad one has finally come up to replace it, i'm hoping in a years time he'll have his front teeth back again as i do miss him with his front teeth, he's a little gummy bear at the moment.
it was also my little sister's 7th birthday with month, and Owen loved going to her little party with all her friends from school, it was a little hectic and loud with a load of 7 year olds running around, but owen loved all the noise and commotion.
i do love to bake, i'm always online looking at thing's i can make, i usually do the same sort of thing's but i like to try new thing's with me do usually go wrong (picture below) of something i made.
i had one of the scariest moments a few weeks ago, i got locked in my bathroom, the handle on my door has come of around a year ago, someone came out to fix it but within a few months it was off again, ive had no problems really with it, it just sometimes falls off, but this particular time, the door handle fell off with the thing that unlocks it also, Owen was on the sofa and i was locked in the bathroom, all i kept thinking was what if something happens to Owen, will i have to ring the fire brigade, i rang my sister and my mum, and there was no answer, i was crying at this point thinking what can i do, then my mum rang back, my sister was with her and has a spare key to my house so she could use it on the back door, they were around half an hour, when they came and i finally got out, Owen was fine, he was happily laid on the sofa listening to cbeebies, but i rang the council the next day and they fixed it, so far it doesn't look like it's coming loose like it did the previous time.
i met owen's new neurologist and had a really good appointment, he's changed some of owen's medication, he's now on epileptic medication, because his previous test showed he was having some activity, his main concern is owen's chest and that he's continually having chest infections every month, so owen on some antibiotics over the winter months a few days a week, we'll see him in another 6 months and see how owen's doing, owen's in allot of pain still so he's increasing some of his pain medication, all was positive and at least the main thing's are getting sorted.
hull fair was also this month which you have to go, even if it's just to look around, owen loved walking around looking at all the light's it was very loud indeed but it didn't seem to bother owen, i went on the dodgems with Bethany which she loved, as a child you love nothing more than having control of a litle car being able to bump into anyone.
we wnt to the deep, for mine and owens birthday this year my cousins ( owen godparents) said they'd take us out for the day, and so we went to the deep, we've being before for owens birthday a few years ago, but owen didn't seem that interested and we didn't think to much to it, but this time owen seemed to enjoy it allot more, plus owen, myself, my cousins, there was also my cousins little girl, my auntie, mum, and sisters, so it was a really nice girls day out.
and of course Halloween, we always come to my mums for Halloween and myself and my mum take Bethany and owen out, my step-dad usually stays at home and does the trick or treating, owen absolutely loved it, he always does, and bethany loves it because she gets extra sweets as she gets to have owen's sweets as well as her own.
